Course objectives

The aim of this course is to train students with skills appropriate for functioning within the spectrum of mental health services. At the end of the course, the students will be competent in identifying and diagnosing mental health problems and apply Counselling/Psychotherapy /Behavior Therapy techniques within the ethical and professional framework suggested by RCI.

 

 Learning Outcomes –

1.1 On completion of the course, the diploma holders will be able to-Practice and apply the skills to diagnose mental health issues.

1.2 Execute clinical work up and plan psychosocial interventions.

1.3 Evaluate, predict and conclude commonly used psychometric tests and effectively communicate the findings.

1.4 Certify IQ and disability status for government pensions or concessions after obtaining RCI certification.

1.5 Design and compose therapeutic/rehabilitation interventions at individual and family levels both in institution and community set-ups, including community mental health services (DMHP).
