Guest Lecture on POCSO Act and Juvenile Justice Act

On 27^th May 2024, the Clinical Psychology Department at IIS University Jaipur had the privilege of hosting Dr. Sangita Gaur, an expert trainer in child protection laws and Assistant Director at Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation, for a lecture on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. The session was particularly tailored for the students of the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PDCP) (2023-24).

Dr. Gaur's engaging, interactive, and insightful approach made the lecture a significant educational experience. Her lecture was meticulously structured to cover the key aspects of both the POCSO Act and the Juvenile Justice Act. Her approach ensured that the students not only gained theoretical knowledge but also understood the practical applications of these laws in their future professional practices. Through personal anecdotes and encounters from her career, she made the session interactive and engaging, further enriching the students' understanding.
